 Volunteer Fundraising Assistant: REF VOL22/09

As a Volunteer Fundraising Assistant, you will be playing an important role in helping Splitz embark on its new fundraising journey. Supported by the Head of Fundraising, you’ll be helping to research and identify new income streams including potential corporate support, new community events and opportunities. To begin with, this is a primarily research-based role, which can be done remotely or in our Trowbridge office. As the fundraising grows, there is scope for this role to also grow (subject to the volunteers wishes). Hope2Recovery Group Co-facilitator: REF VOL22/10

This is an exciting role, helping to facilitate the Hope 2 Recovery course for women who are experiencing or have experienced domestic abuse.  The course is a 6-week programme and covered topics such as: what is abuse; the dynamics of abuse and coercive control; how people become trapped in abusive relationships; the impact of abuse on parenting and healthy relationships. Volunteer Referral Support – Early Interventions

We continue to receive very high levels of referrals from people who need support. To enable the Early Intervention Team to be able to make contact with people seeking support as quickly as possible you can help us by transferring the referral details from the inbox onto our database and keep our waiting lists up to date – as well being aware of risk and bringing any concerns to the attention of the team. This role would be ideal for someone who is methodical, organised and with an eye for detail and is an excellent opportunity to learn at the heart of our service. Mentor & Befriending Scheme – Welfare Checks and Mentor Matching Volunteer 

Our mentoring/befriending scheme offers exceptional support to people who have experienced domestic abuse or sexual harm on their recovery journey. Our mentor/befrienders are volunteers and we are looking for someone to support this very busy scheme. This volunteer role will include offering welfare check ins to people as they are waiting for their support to begin, as well as matching service users with volunteers. The matching process will involve great people skills, getting to know our amazing team and ensuring the best match possible within the context of availability, the support required and character. Welfare calls require someone with empathy, understanding and an awareness of risk escalation. Excellent training and support is provided. Fundraising - Volunteer Role – Volunteer Community Speaker x 4 

This is an exciting time! Let’s tackle domestic abuse and sexual violence together across the South West.

Our Volunteer Community Speakers will play an important role in helping Splitz to raise awareness about domestic abuse, its cause and its services within the community.

Our speakers will attend talks within the community, such as at a local WI group or local church group and talk about the charity and how we support people. Our speakers will enjoy engaging with new people, confident in presenting and passionate about our work.

Volunteer Peer Support Group Leaders

This is an exciting time! Let’s tackle domestic abuse and sexual violence together across the South West.

To run and co-facilitate a Peer Support Group in or near your area in Wiltshire/Devon for people who have experienced domestic abuse or sexual violence. Using a combination of warmth, tea & biscuits, and crafts these groups will provide a supportive, understanding and inclusive space to alleviate loneliness and provide support moving forwards. Volunteer Administration Support - Central Gloucester

Our Volunteer Administrator/Administrators will support our small and incredibly busy team in our friendly office to ensure the smooth function of our supports. Our Gloucester PRG team offer a service for men and women aged 18 and over who want to make positive changes to improve relationships with their partner, ex-partner or future partners. Volunteer EI Risk Assessments

Referrals for our services are being received in very high numbers and our teams are exceptionally busy.   To enable the Early Intervention Team to be able to make contact with people seeking support as quickly as possible you can help us by completing our DASH RIC assessments with clients. These assessments are completed by phone and the role will need to be in the Sowton office to ensure supervision is available. This role would be ideal for someone who is calm and empathic, methodical and with an eye for detail.

Mentoring/ Befriending Volunteer

Our mentoring/befriending scheme is an incredible opportunity to offer 1:1 recovery support to our service users who have experienced domestic abuse or sexual harm. Once the risk has reduced we offer weekly support for 6-9 months to help people come to terms with their experiences and begin to move forwards on their journey. Our volunteers do this through listening, standing alongside and helping people to identify where they would like to go. With excellent training and support this is a meaningful role.
