Splitz Support Service is a charity whose expertise in providing support to children, families, and adults has been recognised locally for over 30 years as a quality service. Following the retirement of our Treasurer, We want to strengthen our Board of Trustees by recruiting a new treasurer who can bring business and other skills and have an interest in supporting our work in the voluntary sector and in enabling people to reach and sustain independence.
We work with vulnerable disadvantaged families helping with a wide range of issues. We have strong links with other organisations in the community.
You may have experience in business skills or knowledge of the voluntary and community sector or social enterprise. Or you may bring business skills and experience in financial management, strategic planning, marketing or HR. In particular, we are looking for trustees who will commit to the organisation and contribute in a positive way at the board meetings.
Being a Trustee gives you the opportunity to help steer the charity through an exciting new phase of its development as we continue to grow and expand.
Trustees meet on the last Wednesday morning of most months at our Trowbridge office from 9.30 am to 11.30 am. There are a variety of other sub-groups and responsibilities each month that you may also like to get involved with.
The role is voluntary but expenses may be payable. You would also receive any ongoing training and support to help you carry out this role.
More useful information about the responsibility of a trustee is available on the Charity Commission website.
If you are interested in this opportunity, please contact Jacqui Orchard to arrange an informal discussion.
