The Phoenix Project offers integrated Domestic Abuse support across Wiltshire and Sexual Violence support across Wiltshire and Swindon.

We are now looking to recruit a full time Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA) and a full time Children and Young People’s Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ChISVA). The successful applicants will be part of an established team providing high quality advice, guidance and support to both adult and child victims.

You will work within a multi-agency system to provide a proactive, person centred independent service for victims of sexual violence, empowering choice through informed decision making. Key elements of the role include:

- Risk assessing and helping to keep service users safe (safety planning).

- Enabling victims to access statutory and other services.

- Providing support through the criminal justice system (where the victim has chosen to report their abuse).

Whilst an ISVA qualification is not essential for this role, you should be willing to undertake this as part of the training for the job.

You should have proven experience of working with vulnerable adults and/or children, and an understanding of the variety of issues that may face victims of sexual violence and abuse, alongside excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience and understanding of: safeguarding, advocacy and multi-agency working is an advantage.

Travel across the Wiltshire and Swindon area is a requirement for this position and therefore a full clean driving licence, access to a vehicle and business insurance are requirements for the role. The right candidate will be able to choose whether they are based in our Trowbridge or Swindon office.
