An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Phoenix Project, based in Trowbridge. The Phoenix Project offers integrated Domestic Abuse support across Wiltshire and Sexual Violence support across Wiltshire and Swindon.
We are now looking to recruit a full time Domestic Abuse Family Support Worker. The successful applicant will be part of an established and experienced team providing high quality advice, guidance and support to domestic abuse victims and their families.
Key elements of the role include:
- To provide a high quality, whole family approach to support adult victims and their families who are experiencing domestic abuse
- Support and enable service users to increase their safety and make positive choices for the future
- Undertaking risk assessments and implementing robust safety management plans
- Give practical and emotional support to families who are experiencing domestic abuse in the community
The ideal candidate will have proven experience of working within the field of domestic abuse, an understanding of risk assessment and safeguarding and exceptional communication skills. Experience and understanding of: providing telephone support, working with both adults and children and multi-agency working is an advantage. Travel across Wiltshire is an essential part of this role therefore a full clean driving licence, access to a vehicle and business insurance are requirements for the role.
