IRIS Programme Advocacy Support Worker, Exeter/East Devon and South Devon/Torbay
Splitz Support Service provides high quality services to families experiencing domestic abuse in the South West.
Funded by the Devon Sustainability and Transformation Plan (STP), we are looking to recruit an experienced, confident and committed DVA (domestic violence and abuse) practitioner who has some SVA (sexual violence and abuse) knowledge and experience to join our Leading Lights accredited Devon service, to develop our victim work with IRISi, within GP practices across Devon.
IRIS is an exciting programme aimed at improving the health care response to domestic abuse and sexual violence.
You will work alongside our team of Advocate Educators in Devon and provide support to them, health professionals and advocacy for female patients affected by DVA and SVA. More information about IRIS and its work can be found at https://irisi.org/
You should have proven experience and qualifications in support work with knowledge of domestic abuse issues and a good understanding of sexual violence. You should have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Salary: £21,171 - £22,453 pro rata
Hours: 35 hrs per week
Tenure: Fixed term until 31st March 2021

You will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
