Splitz Support Service are working in partnership with Charityworks, the UK-non-profit sector’s Kickstart gateway as part of a collaborative effort to power up our sector with exceptional talent and make a real impact on youth unemployment. 

We have a role as a Domestic Abuse School Liaison Officer available in Trowbridge, based in our Wiltshire Phoenix Project. The Phoenix Project delivers domestic abuse services across Wiltshire and sexual violence services across Wiltshire and Swindon.

The role includes a supported 6-month development programme delivered by Charityworks. The programme will equip you with the connections, experiences, tools and insight needed to succeed at work, help you to build a peer community of fellows and give you the skills to transition well beyond the placement, and develop long term careers in the non-profit sector.  

Working directly with the Young-Person’s IDVA (Independent Domestic Violence Advisor), the Domestic Abuse School Liaison Officer (DA-SLO) will enable the Phoenix Project to develop new working relationships with schools and colleges across the Wiltshire area and enhance the support offered to young victims of domestic abuse.

Key features of the role will involve:

  • Designing resource packs
  • Delivering assemblies/speaking is PASHE lessons
  • Developing relationships with partner agencies

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn about domestic abuse and sexual violence and the support services available to victims. They will gain skills in public speaking, communication, resource design and working with vulnerable people.
