Our Gloucestershire promoting Positive Relationships Service is excited to be recruiting a Domestic Abuse Behavioural Change Advisor and Group Facilitator.

The Positive Relationships Service provides a range of interventions and support to help people using abusive behaviour to make changes and have healthy relationships in future. In addition the service supports the non abusive partner to stay safe.

The Behaviour Change Advisor role involves the delivery of group work twice a week in the evenings in Gloucestershire and the provision of 1-2-1 support with people not suitable or not yet suitable for the accredited programme. The 1-2-1 support will be culturally flexible, appropriate, accessible and equitable to people of all ages, genders, ethnicities, abilities and sexual orientations. The role will also include service promotion, assessment and 1-2-1 support in other localities for one day per week.

Hours: 28- 32 hours including 2 evenings a week

This role is part of the commissioned Gloucestershire Positive Relationships Service. This role will ensure that clients referred to the service receive appropriate support in a timely manner and will involve provision of programme suitability assessments with clients, occasional brief 1-2-1 support and additional administrative duties as required. This role will also include responsibilities of service promotion, awareness raising, assessments and 1-2-1 support across the county and at locality bases in the Forest of Dean and Cotswolds at regular intervals. There may be additional opportunities for sessional programme delivery of other programmes. This is an office and community based role with limited opportunities for home working

Splitz Support Service is an independent charity and leading provider of domestic abuse and sexual violence support services in southwest England.  Our aim is to end domestic abuse and sexual violence in partnership with individuals, communities, and other agencies. The Positive Relationships Service provides a range of interventions and support to help people using abusive behaviour to make changes and have healthy relationships in the future. 

The Group Facilitator will undertake individual sessions and group work with men who attend the Programme (including self-referring men and those referred via social service departments, GPs etc.) in a way that prioritises the safety of the man’s (ex-) partner.

The post holder is expected to work in line with the Respect National Service Standards for Domestic Violence and Abuse Prevention Services. Full training will be available for this role – see the Job Description below for details.

Independent Stalking Advocacy Caseworker (ISAC)

 

Our ISAC Service is a small team, providing specialist stalking advice, consultancy and support to high risk victims of stalking.

Working together with our highly experienced Senior ISAC, key elements of this role:

  • Complete specialist risk assessments (SASH and DASH).
  • Provide proactive, trauma informed and holistic support, with a focus on increasing safety and reducing risk.
  • Work with criminal justice agencies via Gloucestershire’s multi-agency Stalking Clinic as well as a variety of partners including Victim Support, Children’s Social Care, GDASS and GRASAC to ensure a comprehensive approach to risk.
  • Provide specialist advocacy to victims going through the criminal justice process.
  • Offer professional consultancy, training and advice to other agencies on stalking.
  • Promote Splitz Support Service and the stalking service at events as agreed.

Splitz is committed to hybrid working and this role will be a mix of home based and office based in Gloucestershire, alongside requiring travel across the county for multi-agency meetings. Occasional travel to our Trowbridge Office will also be expected.
