Volunteer Lead Mentor Befriender

This is an incredible volunteering opportunity to support our Buddy Scheme and to develop your skills and experience in supporting the coordination and running of this project. The role involves initial face to face meetings and assessments with our Service Users, completing risk assessments, volunteer support, and monitoring of ongoing support relationships. Excellent training and support is provided.

Role Description

This post is to support the coordination of the Buddy Scheme along with the Volunteer Manager through carrying out initial assessments (including risk assessments) by phone and in person and matching with a suitable volunteer.  To ensure ongoing support and monitoring where appropriate.

Volunteer Mentor & Befriender for Buddy Scheme

We have vacancies for Volunteer Mentor & Befrienders on the Buddy Scheme. The scheme is a mentoring/befriending service for people living in Wiltshire. This is a voluntary position, however we pay all reasonable expenses. This role has proven to be an ideal opportunity for those wishing to return to work or full-time education.

Role Description

To provide emotional support to individuals who have experienced separation, divorce or domestic abuse.

  • One to one meeting with service users
  • Listen to service users
  • Promote independence in service users
