A support service for young people between 11 and 16 years of age, living in South and East Wiltshire, who have witnessed domestic abuse. This service involves one to one support and group work.

Outcomes

A key goal is to improve the young person's understanding of domestic abuse, and that the abuse between their parents isn't their fault.

Another goal is to help young people deal with their feelings in a positive way.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The young person agrees to the referal.
  • The main carer agrees to the referal.
  • The abusive parent is no longer living at the family home, or has completed a recognised programme.
  • The family live in Wiltshire, or the young person attends school in Wiltshire.

Area of Benefit

The service is available in Wiltshire only.
