Chairman
Paul is a senior manager for a London borough council. He has worked in housing organisations for 34 years including 10 years in housing advocacy. Paul is experienced in performance monitoring and related IT systems.

Stephen Foster BSc PhD ACA
Treasurer
Stephen has been a chartered accountant in practice since 1990. He is the principal in his own general practice employing 7 staff members. Wide variety of clients from small sole traders to large million pound turnover companies. Also has a small number of charities as clients. He is also the Treasurer of two other charities.

Derrik Copeland FCIS
Secretary
Derrik was the Company Secretary with BP in Zimbabwe. He remains a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Secretaries and Administrators. Derrik is married with two grown up married daughters and five grandchildren. He is an active member of his local church, a member of a walking group and member of the Probus Club of Westbury and District. His other interests include cooking and travel.

Maggi Bader MA MBA
Maggi has a BA Degree in Sociology and post graduate degree in Management. She has been the Director of Charitable Company since 1987 with a client group for enduring mental health and complex needs (Care in the Community). Maggi is extensively travelled. Prior to her involvement in the 3rd sector, Maggi was an experienced teacher/manager at a bilingual school for 14 years. She was also a Social Worker for 10 years. Maggi also served for 10 years as a member of the Community Health Council and is a trustee for three other charities.

Canon Chris Brown
Chris was born in Hampshire and is a non-residentiary Canon of Salisbury Cathedral. He trained for the ordained ministry of the Church of England at Durham and Salisbury and has been the rector of St James Parish Church since 1988. Chris is married with one son, one daughter and one granddaughter. His wife, Julie, is a retired nurse. As a rector Chris is involved with several local trusts and charities. His interests include history and amateur dramatics and he has a great love for people particularly those experiencing disadvantage and hardship. He has a passion for justice, mercy and freedom and has a wonderful sense of humour. Chris dislikes ‘hatred, malice and all uncharitableness’. Chris retired in the Spring of 2009, when he will have more time to support the work of Splitz.

Penny Cannings
Penny spent her working life between being a telephonist (GPO trained in 1964!!) and accountancy work. Her last work was Adminstrator at Splitz covering maternity leave for a few months.Penny has an adult son and enjoys a wide varierty of hobbies and interests ranging from gardening & crosswords to arts and crafts. She is now retired and living in Trowbridge. Penny is very aware of the needs of lone parents particularly those with experience of domestic violence and abuse and feels that her contribution to the trustee board is valuable and relevant.

Cindy Ervine LLB
Cindy has been practicing as a solicitor specialising in family law since 1996. She is a member of the Domestic Violence Forum, Chippenham Contact Centre, and the Law Society Family Law Panel. Cindy also loves cooking, yoga and swimming in her spare time.

Sheila Kimmins JP
Sheila is married with two grown up sons and two grand children. For 26 years she ran her own Boarding Cattery from which she has recently retired in the hopes she will be able to spend more time with her family and grand children. Sheila joined the magistracy in 1992, and is currently Chairman of the Wiltshire County Family Panel.

Rosie MacGregor
Rosie has experience as a Town Planner working in Local Government and previously in the private sector for more than 30 years, during which time she has been actively involved in the Trade Union movement. She was for many years on the advisory panel for Civic Trust Awards in Wiltshire and was South West Regional Convenor for UNISON. She is currenlty Chair of the Wiltshire UNISON branch, Co-Chair of South West Provincial Council and sits on the South West Regional TUC. Her hobbies include writing a weekly column in the Bath Chronicle on world music, and she is also a folk singer who regularly plays in clubs, concerts and festivals throughout the UK.

Cllr Janet Repton
Janet taught art and design and art history for 31 years as Head of Art department for Inner London Education schools. Janet has served as a local Town and District Councillor since 1992, serving as Mayor of Bradford on Avon from 2001 to 2003. As a councillor Janet has a keen interest in the environment, planning and housing. With the formation of a unitary council in Wiltshire Janet stood down as a district councillor but remains a town councillor for Bradford on Avon.

Barbara Taylor
Barbara is a Litigation Executive with a firm of local solicitors, and has specialised in family law for over 25 years. She has previous experience as a trustee of a local women’s refuge and is currently a member of the local Domestic Violence Forum. She is experienced in working with people suffering family breakdown including separation, divorce, domestic violence injunctions, children’s issues (contact and residency) and the financial effects of relationships ending. She has built good relationships with a number of outside agencies, local charitable providers and statutory services.

Francis Wakem QPM
Francis retired as a police officer at the rank of Chief Superintendent in 1997. He was awarded the QPM for distinguished police service. Francis is passionate about supporting victims of crime and was a volunteer with Victim Support. He was Chair of Victim Support from 1998-2008 and now serves as Chair of the Victim Support (Wiltshire Area) Forum and attends the Victim Support (South West of England) Forum. In 1998 he also became a trustee for the Bobby Van Trust, a charity committed to helping those affected by or at risk of crime. Between 2005-2007 he participated in and led Homicide Reviews in Wiltshire. In his spare time he was Chair of the Wiltshire County Scout Council from 1993-2001, and has been Vice President since 2001. January 2008 to date, Independent Facilitator Wiltshire Crown Prosecution Service multi agency Hate Crime and Domestic Abuse Scrutiny Panel.
